Angels
Fra Angelico, the “Angelic Friar”, was an Early Italian Renaissance painter. He is known for his paintings of Angels, Saints, and the Madonna & Child. His paintings and frescoes are filled with brilliant gold leaf, showing both the sacredness of his subjects and the wealth of his patrons. Third and Fourth Graders created angel self-portraits outlined with Sharpies and painted with metallic and pearlescent watercolors for a shimmery effect.
