The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York: metmuseum.org
The MET is one of my most favorite places to spend a day. No matter how many times I go, there is always something new to amaze and delight me. I love to stroll through Central Park afterwards.

MoMA | The Museum of Modern ArtLocated right in the heart of Manhattan, the MOMA is a great place to get a feel for modern art! Not to be missed are Monet's Waterlilies and the Sculpture Garden!

Whitney Museum of American ArtThe new Whitney downtown is open! This is on my own to-do list; I am so excited to see it. If you go, check out the High Line trail right nearby!

Grounds for SculptureThis sculpture park is a great place for children! I especially love the sculptures of Seward Johnson, who has brought many of the Impressionist paintings to life.
“I want my work to disappear into the landscape and then take a viewer by surprise. After he gets over the shock of being fooled, it becomes an emotional discovery. Then he owns the sculpture. People often revisit their favorites. They become like friends." —Seward Johnson |
Storm King Art CenterWe are blessed to have not 1, but 2, amazing sculpture gardens in our area. Both are fantastic places and very different from each other. Whereas the Grounds for Sculpture will charm you with its intimacy, Storm King will blow you away with its magnificent juxtaposition of monumental sculpture and nature.
